New Jersey Coastal and Delaware Bay waters are full of fish which are a boost to our economy. Hotels and restaurants take advantage of this large commercial industry. Many coastal towns cater to a growing need for seafood eateries.
Many small commercial fleets are docked along the New Jersey Coast. Sport fishing is also big business in our Bay and coastal waters offering a large variety of flat and shell fish. Flounder, drum, weakfish and bluefish are being caught in notable numbers.
There are any numbers of fleet boats with captains that take fishermen out for a day of sport fishing. The true sport fisherman generally has his own boat and gear. They spend a good number of days out on the water during the fishing season.
Fish are great cooked on the grill with Jersey Fresh vegetables, fruits, wines or micro brews for a wonderful feast.
